How donation details are used and what you should know before completing a gift.

Information we collect

When you use our donation form we ask for your name, email, selected cause, gift amount, currency and country. Your phone number and a message are optional. We use this information to create a payment request, associate it with your chosen cause and respond to donation queries.

Payment processing

Payment requests are sent to JJuma. Donatee does not collect payment card numbers, card security codes or your mobile money PIN. JJuma processes payment information under its own applicable terms and privacy notices.

The donation service stores a transaction reference, selected amount, currency, cause, donor contact details and payment status on the server to check payments and respond to queries. Server records are not publicly accessible.

How to contact us

When you email Donatee, you decide what information to share. Do not email card information or account passwords. We may use your email address to respond to your request and important transaction queries.

Donation terms

You will review the amount and currency before leaving our website for the JJuma hosted checkout. A monthly giving selection does not authorize recurring card or mobile money charges. Additional gifts require a new approval.

Hosted checkout displays available payment options and any applicable processing details before confirmation. If you believe a donation was made in error or need a refund assessment, contact us with the reference. Any refund depends on payment status, applicable regulations and the payment provider’s processes.

The donation form needs some information to create a payment and to help resolve questions about it later. It requests your name, email, country, chosen cause, amount and currency. A phone number and message are optional. The website backend records the donation reference and payment status associated with your submission.

Card details, card security codes and mobile money PINs are entered on the hosted JJuma checkout, not on Donatee pages. Contact us if you need information about records linked to a donation, or if you believe you received an incorrect payment status. Does Donatee store my card number?

No card entry fields appear on this website. Payment credentials are entered on the hosted checkout provided by JJuma.

Does monthly giving authorize future charges?

No. The current form creates only the transaction you approve at checkout.

Where can I request a review of a donation error?

Contact info@donatee.org and include the payment reference. Refund decisions depend on transaction status and applicable rules.
